"Planning a wedding is like coloring when you're 4;

There's no right or wrong way to do it. And everyone will love it because they love you!".

This quote is from groom Joel Daly who was featured in this seasons One Thing I Learned section of Martha Stewart Weddings.

In my line of work, I have had the opportunity to attend many weddings and, although there are still rules of ettiquite that need to be followed, there isn't much stopping a couple from planning a wedding that is truely "them". There are so many choices out there right now, from ceremony sites, to invitation colors, and even to the type of food served at your reception.

Because of all of the choices available to couples now, there isn't really such a thing as a traditional wedding. When planning your wedding, make sure to take the time to sit down together and find out what aspects of your wedding are the most important to you and where you are wanting to focus most of your budget.

At the end of the day, you want to be able to look back on your photos and know that the feel of your wedding really did capture the two of you as individual and also as a couple.
